Online crop/ tutorial

Join us for a "Birthday Layout Tutorial".
Really more like a step by step so we can chat and scrap at the same time. Anybody up for one?

Here is what you will be needing for the layout we will be working on Wednesday. You really don't have to have birthday pics but you will want your photos all from the same event/day...as your title will be the number of your subjects age. OR you can use a year for the number!
• four photos (3 of these will be cut down)
• six colors of cardstock ( 2 in whicn need to be 12 x 12 or 11 x 8 1/2)also 1 color needs to be big enough to mat a 4x6 photo
• number stickers (these should be at least and inch big)
• small square punch
• paper trimmer
• double-sided tape or other adhesive

Here is what it all about,

The idea of these challenges is to get as many LO's, Challenges, and Cards done by the end of the year. These will last one month at a time, in less I throw a Scrapjack on ya for the month. There will be no point system. This should be less confusing for you and I. You will earn entries for what you do. Then at the end of the year, the one with the most entries will be the TOP SCRAPAHOLIC for 2008. Sound like fun? I hope so. The ABC challenge will be weekly challenge, posted each Friday. Each challenge will have a set of alphas with corresponding items to use on your LO. I will keep adding challenge to this post to keep them together.

Hope you all have a great week and that it warms up. Still very chilly this morning, but it's supposed to warm up and look great for the upcoming holiday weekend. Looking forward to it.

The site is doing great. We are seeing alot of good friends there. We have so many ideas to put forth but we are waiting for the site to get a bit bigger. I am very excited about this and am having a great time. This is something I have talked to dh alot about and thanks to Ida, Lisa and Desi it's coming true. Thank you girls. We are going to have a ball!

Well, the site is doing pretty good. We have a layout tag going on, a few layout challenges and a card challenge. Why don't you get on over there and check them out. We are using Flickr as our gallery host and Desi posted a HOW TOO to use it. Once you get the hang of it it isn't that difficult to use. I am off to start a new layout of one of the challenges. Not sure which one yet. lol

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. We got the boat back from getting fixed and DH is going to try and get it in the water today. Going to be a fun summer. Going to get the rest of my flowers planted today. I have started some seeds too and they are coming along nicely. My strawberry plants arent' looking too good. I don't think they made it thru the winter. :(

I want to thank you all for your congrats yesterday on my anniversary. Dinner was fantastic. And the time we got to spend alone was wonderful.

Hey all.. I just wanted to share what I read today while checkin in on KC:

"KC is undergoing maintenance. We have been able to get most of the site back, and are working to get the forum up and running again. We located the source of most of the security problems to the photo gallery the only way to ensure complete security was to remove it. Unfortunately everything was lost, but at least the site is now more secure. To save on space we will now put photos to share with everyone in the regular gallery. There is a category there called photography galleries."

Really stinks about the gallery :( But glad to know the problems are getting fixed and it will be a safer site!!

Good morning everyone. It's so chilly this morning. I am looking forward to warm mornings. Hope they come soon. Nothing much going on today. Going to try and get the rest of my flowers planted today. Going out to dinner with DH tonight...it's our 5 year anniversary today. I can't believe it's been that long. Though at times it feels longer. Got my livingroom rearranged.

I think I am getting closer to taking over my ss bedroom for my scrap space. The 17 year old (soon to be 18) got a job so him coming on the weekends (not that he's been coming anyways) will be nil. And the 15 years old (soon to be 16) had his mother wrapped around his finger and lets him take off so that he doesn't come here either. So dh starts talking about getting one of our other computers ready to put in there when it's my room! LOL Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Still working on the site. Lots to do. Looking into getting a gallery. And other things, but it's coming along nicely.

Hello everyone. What are you all up to today. Going to scrap today I think. Got my photos burned to a cd last night. So happy. Going to do some furniture arrangement when dh gets home from work, so I need to get that picked up...looks like a tornado hit it in the past couple days.

It's a rainy day today...good day to scrap. If only I was in the mood. My camera program has really got me down. Can't figure out why all of the sudden it won't upload my photos. DH is getting some cd's so I can burn my photos and then try uninstalling, then installing the program again...hopefully this will work. Not much else going on here. Have a great day!

I just want to say how fantastic this is all looking. Ida is doing an awesome job at putting this together and I can tell that Desi did our logo....am I right? You both have been busy after I went to bed. lol I did work on a layout for one of the sketches, it's almost done. I am hoping that I can get it uploaded the way Desi suggested I try. If not I am going to have to try something else. This is the pits. I feel lost without my camera for uploading my layouts and cards. Not sure what my plans are for today, aside from the regular house work that needs to get done. And a few phone calls to make. Hope you have a lovely day.
